DeltaHacks started as something I joined in my first year because events sounded fun. It turned into spicy noodles, late nights, random friendships, logistics puzzles, and me slowly learning that "just one more thing" is how events become 15 things.
First year
First year
I first joined DeltaHacks on the Events team in my first year of undergrad. One of my first big memories was hosting the fire noodle challenge at DeltaHacks 9: spicy noodles, competitive eating, funny faces, and a very unserious amount of chaos.
HackCon
HackCon
Through DeltaHacks, I got to attend HackCon, sponsored by Major League Hacking. I met organizers from around the world, people I probably would not have crossed paths with otherwise, and yes, I did shake hands with Mike Swift. Pretty cool moment, honestly.

Random good memories
One of my favorite parts of HackCon was bonding with two people I had just met. We ended up on a night trip in their Tesla, they taught me Sudoku on the way there, and we talked about life like we had known each other for years. It was simple, but it stuck with me.
DeltaHacks X
DeltaHacks X
The next year, I became Vice President of Events for DeltaHacks X. That meant leading a team of 10, managing the event schedule, overseeing activities, handling logistics, and keeping track of 15+ events at once. A little stressful, but in the character-building way.
Before that, I had once pushed through DeltaHacks as an Events executive with a back spasm and a hospital visit. Not my smartest moment, but I did learn that I really cared about seeing things through.
After my VP term, I moved into an advisor role, which has been a calmer way to stay involved and support the next team.
